Lizzie Murphy, MS, CCC-SLP is a pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist and the owner of Murphy Speech & Language. With a foundation in both education and clinical practice, Lizzie brings a well-rounded perspective to her work with children and families.
Before entering the field of speech-language pathology, she worked as an elementary school teacher, gaining valuable experience in reading instruction and language comprehension. This background allows her to naturally integrate phonics, literacy, and reading support into speech therapy sessions.
Lizzie enjoys addressing a wide range of communication needs, with particular interests in speech sound disorders, language delays, and literacy development. She believes meaningful progress is built through strong relationships, family collaboration, and a strengths-based, child-centered approach. By incorporating each child’s interests into therapy, she creates engaging, functional sessions that support real-world communication.
In addition to private services, Lizzie serves students at Philip Simmons Elementary School and Philip Simmons Middle School, supporting communication development within the school setting. She holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), the South Carolina Speech-Language Pathology License, and the South Carolina Professional Educator Certificate, reflecting her commitment to high-quality, ethical care.
